New features in the Cognos Controller rich client

The following features are available in the Cognos Controller rich client.

End your own disconnected session

If you log in and you have an existing active session, Cognos Controller displays a warning message. You can end the active session and start a new one.

License Management Report

The License Management Report provides information about the number and type of active users. You can use this report to ensure that you are complying with your license requirements. For more information, see Generate User Right Reports.

Manage active Controller Web users

In previous releases, you could manage only Cognos Controller rich client users in the rich client. Now, an administrator can also manage Controller Web users in the rich client. For more information, see View Active Users and Manage Active Users.

Tracking of period and company locking and unlocking

The audit log now captures when a user locks or unlocks a period and when a user locks or unlocks a company. You can see this information in the system audit log report.

Export structures that are created in Controller Web

From the Cognos Controller rich client, you can export (and import) import specifications and lookup tables that are created in IBM® Controller Web. For more information, see Export Structures.

More local text values available for more information on companies

In the Define Local Texts window, you can define up to 30 values. These values appear in the More Information tab when you define a company structure. For more information, see Define Group and Local Texts and Define Company Structures - the More Information Tab.

Filter by actuality when you define submissions

You can filter by actuality in the Define Submission window. For more information, see Define Submissions.
