Creating condition codes

You use the Condition Codes application to build the master list of condition codes for a particular item set. You manage your inventory by using condition codes to track the worth of each item in a set. An organization is assigned to one item set, and multiple organizations can use the same item set.

About this task

If you mark an item as condition-enabled, you must assign at least one condition code to it. For each condition-enabled item, one condition code must have a full-value rate of 100%. The condition code with the full-value rate of 100% is used as the reference point to calculate values for any other condition codes for this item.

Procedure

  1. From the Condition Codes application, select the item set for which you want to create a condition code.
  2. Click New Row and type a name and a description for the condition code.
    One code for the full value, or 100% rate, is required.
  3. In the Condition Rate field, type a percentage that indicates the condition of the item, and save the condition code.

What to do next

After you build the master list of condition codes, set up condition-enabled items using the Item Master application, and manage condition-enabled item balances using the Inventory application.
