Blackout Periods application
Use the Blackout Periods application to create and manage a list of time periods during which caution must be applied in scheduling Changes. Blackout periods include days or weeks during which Changes can be detrimental to the business. You can specify approvers or approver groups to whom notifications are sent when Changes are scheduled during a Blackout Period. You can also restrict the scope of a Blackout Period to one or more configuration items (CIs).
To view a list of blackout period records that have been created and saved in the application, place the cursor in the Blackout Period field, and press Enter. Use the search and query capabilities to limit your list as needed. After you open a record, you can click View Record List to return to the list of records.
Tabs are displayed when a record is open; the tabs enable you to work with the selected record.
