Monitoring Sterling Secure Proxy Adapter Status

IBM® Sterling Control Center Monitor monitors the status of Sterling Secure Proxy adapters. Summary information about these adapters through the Adapter Status Monitor in the IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor console and web console.

About this task

The Adapter Status Monitor shows information about the adapters on the selected Sterling Secure Proxy server.

Attention: Adapter status will only be listed for adapters that are assigned to Sterling Secure Proxy engines that are currently running.

To view the status of Sterling Secure Proxy adapters:

Procedure

In the web console, go to Servers > All Servers. Select a Sterling Secure Proxy server, then, in the Server details window, click the Adapter tab. Alternatively, click on the SSP's Adapter donut in the Dashboard's Environmental health widget.

For each adapter, the Adapter Status Monitor displays the following information by default:

Field	Description
Display Name	The user-friendly name to display for the adapter.
Date Started	Date the adapter was started.
Engine Name	Sterling Secure Proxy engine associated with the adapter.
Listen Port	The port that the adapter listens on.
Protocol	The list of protocols that this adapter is configured to work on.
Server	The Sterling Secure Proxy server associated with the adapter.
State	The status of the adapter: running, stopped, error, pending, or warning.
Status Message	The status message for the adapter.
