Role field descriptions
You can use the following fields to define a role.
Note: If you modify a role that has Server Group or Data
Visibility Group restrictions by removing both the Server Group and
Data Visibility Group restrictions, the role is changed from restricted
to unrestricted. Any previously created object that has this role
in its list of permissible roles will have this role removed.
| Field | Description |

| Data Visibility Groups | The data visibility groups to associate with the role. To add a data visibility group, click Browse to add one or more data visibility groups. |
| Description | A description of the role. |
| Permissions | The set of IBM® Sterling Control Center Monitor actions the role can perform. |
| Role Name | The name for the role. A role defines a set of permissions that specify what IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor actions a user can perform and what managed servers he or she can perform these actions upon. |
| Server Groups | The server groups to associate with the role. To add a server group, click Browse to add one or more server groups. |
