Configuration Management Functions
You manage Sterling Connect:Direct® server configurations through the IBM® Sterling Control Center Configuration management functions. You can access this functionality through Configuration menu on Control Center Director Web Console.
To manage configuration objects, you select the type of object you want to work with from the
left navigation panel on the Configuration window. You select a server and
configuration object's version from Server and Version
drop down lists respectively.
Note: When you select the server, the current version is selected, by
default. However, you may choose to switch to other versions.
Based on the object type, the server, and configuration object's version, Control Center displays the available list of records. You can select an action to take on the object from its overflow menu. The actions available vary depending on the type of object, but they include:
- Copying an object from one server to another
- Copying selected parameters of an object to one on another server
- Creating an object
- Duplicating an object (as a quick way of creating one on the same server)
- Viewing and updating the properties of an object
- Deleting an object
- Comparing two objects
- Displaying the available versions of an object and comparing them
- Refreshing the IBM Sterling Control Center copy of configuration objects with the current version from the server
