Overview of Exporting and Importing Configuration Data
IBM® Sterling Control Center Monitor contains configuration data and data that is collected from monitored servers. You can export and import all of the configuration data or individual configuration objects between two IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor instances that have one or more event processors.
Important:
- Exporting and importing configuration data is supported only between IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor instances of the same version. For example, if you export data from an IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor V6.4.0 instance, the instance that you import the configuration data to must also be IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor V6.4.0.
- Rules are the only configuration objects that you can export and import into another IBM Control Center instance individually.
The configuration data is stored in two locations: the conf folder and the database. The configuration objects that are stored in the IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor database are in a table. Most of the table names are prefixed with CC_Configuration_Object.
The following configuration objects are stored in the IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor database with the corresponding
prefixes in the table:
- Users (CC_USER)
