Managing Functional Authorities
Functional authorities control user access to Sterling Connect:Direct® and control which Sterling Connect:Direct commands and statements users can employ. You can use IBM® Sterling Control Center to view, add, update, or delete functional authority records on Sterling Connect:Direct for z/OS®, UNIX or Microsoft Windows servers.
Important: IBM Sterling Control
Center has configuration
authorities for a Connect:Direct server. These authorities are determined when Control Center
connects with IBM Sterling Connect:Direct
server. So, if you modify the functional authority for the user ID used by Control Center to
communicate with that server, you should reconnect Control Center to Connect:Direct server by simply
pausing and then resuming monitoring of that server.
You can conduct multiple actions on this configuration object. To know more, refer Actions on Configuration Objects.
