Monitoring Sterling B2B Integrator Adapter Status

IBM® Sterling Control Center Monitor monitors the status of Sterling B2B Integrator adapters that are monitored by IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor. IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor displays summary information about these adapters through the Adapter Status Monitor. You can also access properties information for an adapter, as well as information about its perimeter server.

About this task

Important: License management for monitored servers is deprecated in IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor V5.4.2.1 and later. IBM Sterling products stopped using license keys in 2010, but the license management functionality remains in IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor for users that have older versions of monitored servers that still have license keys. Since license keys are only available in prior versions of certain monitored servers that are no longer supported by IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor, IBM intends to discontinue supporting all license management capabilities in IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor. Use of license management capabilities in IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor is discouraged.

IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor does not monitor Sterling B2B Integrator protocol adapters when those adapters are not actively monitoring business processes or protocols.

For clustered Sterling B2B Integrator servers, status is monitored for all servers in a cluster. However, to avoid duplication, only unique adapter entries are displayed.

Attention: Adapters of a Sterling B2B Integrator server that have a status of paused, shunned, down, or never contacted are not visible.
