Types of Custom Scripts
There are four types of custom scripts:
Pre-installation scripts are custom scripts executed before the Connect:Direct (CD) installation process starts. These scripts offer a powerful means to customize the environment and prepare the system for installation. They provide flexibility for tasks such as configuring system settings, checking dependencies, or any other actions needed to align the installation process with specific requirements.
Post-installation scripts are custom scripts that you can execute after the Connect:Direct installation process is complete. These scripts allow you to perform additional tasks that are specific to the installed Connect:Direct Server application. They can be used to finalize configurations, start services, or provide post-installation instructions to the user.
Pre-upgrade scripts are custom scripts that you can execute before the CD Server upgrade process begins. These scripts are a powerful way to address any unique requirements, configurations, or customizations that exist in the current version of the software and need special attention before moving to the new version.
Post-upgrade scripts are custom scripts executed after the CD upgrade process is complete. These scripts facilitate tasks essential to finalize the upgrade, ensure the correct functioning of the upgraded system, and handle any additional steps required post-upgrade.
