Rules and DVGs

When a DVG-restricted user creates a rule, the rule must specify a data visibility group in the rule parameters.

The Rule wizard populates the user’s DVG in the rule parameters. If a user is assigned to only one DVG, the value cannot be changed or removed. If a user has authority to multiple DVGs, the value can be changed. A user who is not DVG restricted can create the following types of rules:

• A global rule
• A data visibility rule with any defined DVG
