Installing and configuring IBM Control Center Monitor using the GUI installer for Linux and UNIX

You can install and configure the IBM® Sterling Control Center Monitor engine and web server on Linux and UNIX with the GUI installer.

Complete the preinstallation and installation checklists.

About this task

To install and configure the IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor engine and web server on Linux and UNIX with the GUI installer:

Attention: If you are upgrading from a prior version of IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor, see Release Notes.

Procedure

  1. Close all open applications.
  2. Navigate to the Linux or UNIX directory where you extracted the files.
  3. In the window, type sh CCInstall64.bin -i gui.
  4. Follow the installation prompts.
  5. After the installation completes, run configCC.sh from <intsalled location>/bin/folder.

    If the installation fails, determine the cause by reviewing the installation log, which is in installation directory/IBM_Sterling_Control_Center_V6.3.1_Install_<mm_dd_yyyy_hh_mm_ss>.log.
