Required settings for Microsoft SQL Server database and database user

When you are creating Microsoft SQL Server database, use the required settings to ensure IBM® Sterling Control Center Monitor can use the database.

Required setting Production schema More information

Collation Setting

 SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS or Latin1_General_CI_AS This setting should be set as part of the database creation.

Login Security authentication

SQL Server Authentication

User Mapping:

Select the Production database.

For Role Members either select db_owner or select the following three:
  • db_datareader
  • db_datawriter
  • db_ddladmin

Map the user’s default schema to “dbo”.

IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor supports only

SQL Server authentication.
