Migrating to standalone Cognos

IBM® Control Center Monitor 6.2 and 6.3 uses Jasper Reports Library for reporting. Jasper Reports Library will only be used for the 44 canned IBM Control Center Monitor reports. Prior versions of Control Center Monitor used Cognos for the canned Control Center Monitor reports and for the web console workspaces. With Control Center Monitor 6.2, the web console workspaces will no longer be available.

If you are migrating from a prior IBM Control Center Monitor version in which you created custom Cognos widgets or custom Cognos reports or you saved personal or group workspaces that you wish to keep, you may choose to install your own copy of Cognos and keep these custom items. This section explains the steps you need to take to install standalone Cognos and migrate your custom items from the IBM Control Center Monitor installed Cognos to your standalone Cognos version.
