You can upgrade IBM® Sterling Control Center
Monitor
from V6.1 to V6.3 on UNIX.

software are compatible with the version to which you are migrating.
Before you upgrade
IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor, back
up the configuration directory,
conf.
Important:
- If you need to revert your instance to an earlier release, the database administrator must back
up the databases.
To upgrade IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor from V6.1
to V6.3 on UNIX:

Close all IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor consoles.

Stop the IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor EP.

Wait for 5 minutes and take the following steps to make sure both the IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor daemon and Windows service are
down:

Run the ps -ef|grep java or ps -ef|grep scc
command.

On all processes that are running for IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor run the kill
-9 command.

Run the exportConfig.sh script to back up your configuration data.
Important: Before you start the installer on AIX®,
run the slibclean command as root user to unload all object files with load and
user counts of 0.

Run the installer and select the existing installation folder as the destination folder. The
previous version is uninstalled.

Run configCC.sh.
Important: Do not reinitialize the database for Production. During the Event Processor
Name installation step, you can use only alphanumeric characters to name the event processor. The
event processor name must be unique in the database.

Start the IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor EP.

Log in to IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor Web Console from one of the supported browser by typing
http://<host address>:port or https://<host address>:port.
