Viewing a graphical representation of your Global Mailbox environment

You can view a graphical representation of your Global Mailbox environment that provides an overview of all of your data centers or a view of each individual data center. The individual data center view shows the data center servers, services that servers depend upon, other data centers that share their services, and the relationships between theses elements.

You can access a graphical representation of your Global Mailbox environment by drilling into a data center from the web console Environmental Health widget or from Servers > Individual servers. The data center view shows either an overview of all the Global Mailbox data centers or details about the individual data center you select. When you view individual data centers, you can see the data center servers, services that they depend upon, and other data centers that share their services. You can also see the connections between these elements. You can click the servers, data centers, and connections in the graphical view to drill into more details. In addition, server icons display a status badge to denote their state, for example, down.

You can click a line that connects a server and a service to get details about the connection from the server point of view. In addition, you can filter the view to show only connections with errors. If a server is having trouble with any service located in another data center, the line connection that server to the other data center displays in an error state. To get more information about the services located at that data center, click the line connecting the server to that data center. All the services that the server depends upon that are located at that data center display, regardless of their status.
