IBM® Control Center
Monitor monitors the
status of IBM Global
High Availability Mailbox data centers and provides
a health status for the data centers in the Environmental health
widget.
The health status that you receive for your Global Mailbox system lets you know if there are
issues in your data centers. Then, you can drill into the data centers to view status information
about individual servers and their components to troubleshoot issues. After you drill into data
center details, you can toggle between the default grid-style view and a graphical view of the data
center. The graphical view shows data center servers and services and the relationships between
them. To view a health status of your Global Mailbox system:
-
Access the IBM Control Center
Monitor web
console dashboard.
-
View the status of the Global Mailbox data
centers in the Environmental Health widget.
Data centers display a status of Warning, Active, or Down.
-
To access information about the servers in the data center:
- Click the center of a data center chart to view details about all servers in that data
center.
- Click a segment of the outer ring of the chart to view details about the servers in that
data center in that status.
The Individual Servers view displays with a filtered view based on
where you clicked in a data center chart in the Environmental Health widget. You can click a server
to access more details about the server, the components it depends upon, status changes, and recent
events. The Individual Servers view contains two different icons for each
server: the Global Mailbox management node and the
Global Mailbox client adapter (GMCA) node. Both of
these nodes have the same name.
You can create IBM Control Center
Monitor
rules to notify when Global Mailbox events
occur.
