Creating a calendar
Create calendars to specify days/dates, how long the calendar remains in effect, and how often processing is repeated (recurrence).
To create a calendar:
- From the IBM® Sterling Control Center Monitor Web Console, select Manage > Others > Calendars .
- Click the Create button to display the Create Calendar wizard.
- Type a unique meaningful Name for the calendar, for example, Month End. The name can be up to 25 characters.
- Type a Description for the calendar.

Under Which days and dates are included?, specify the following
parameters:
- Which days and dates are included or excluded for monitoring?: Select a Recurrence Pattern (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly). The display changes according to the pattern you selected.
- How long is the calendar in effect?: Select the month, year, and date (start and end dates) that you want the calendar to take effect. Also, you can select There is no end date if you don't want to leave the calendar permanently in effect.
Note: Modifications to a recurrence pattern remain in effect until December 31 of the following year, regardless of the recurrence end date. After December 31 of the following year, you must make the modifications again. - In Permissions section which displays the existing Restricted Roles.

You can take one of the following actions on the Permissions section to identify who
can view and use the calendar:

To allow all users to view and use the email list, select the All users option.Important: If you make the email list visible to all users, you cannot restrict visibility to specific roles after it is used by another email list.

To not let any users view and use the email list, select the Only users that can edit this calendar option.

To give a restricted role permission to view and use the calendar, under Roles that can edit this email list select the checkboxes next to roles and make sure the Only users that can edit this calendar option is selected.

- Review your entries and click Save to create the calendar. The newly created calendar is displayed in the Calendar listing page.
