After you install or upgrade IBM® Sterling Control Center
Monitor, you can configure the user key
if you want to encrypt your IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor
root passphrase with your own key.
To configure a user key, you must be an IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor administrator. To configure a
user key:

Stop all your IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor event
processors (EPs).

In the installation_directory/bin directory, run the
following command:

configUserKey.sh |

Enter your self-defined user key.

Re-enter your user key.

In a high availability environment, run the following command for all other EPs:

configUserKey.sh -sync |

Restart all EPs in the cluster.
