Stopping the engine without a user ID or password

A user who has permission to stop the IBM® Sterling Control Center Monitor engine can issue a command to stop the engine without providing a user ID and password. With this feature, you can script unattended engine stops and restarts to improve automation.

To stop the engine from the command line without providing a user ID and password:
  1. Switch to installation directory/bin.
  2. Run one of the following commands:
    Microsoft Windows UNIX
    stopEngine.bat -np stopEngine.sh -np.
