Selecting data for Completed file transfers and Completed processes views
You can customize the data that displays in the web console Completed file transfers view and the Completed processes view for a particular server type or for all server types.
The customization that you choose for the data and views is a system-wide setting that applies to all users.
IBM® Sterling Control Center
Monitor collects
information about a process or file transfer that is included in the Completed file
transfers view and the Completed processes view in the web console.
You can select additional information to display in the views to make them more useful for
monitoring your system. You can tag processes and file transfers with up to 10 user-defined fields,
as well as 10 defaults, for each server type. These fields can be used to store additional
information about the process or transfer that is important to your business and then display that
information in the views.
Attention: If you change a tag mapping, it affects only
Completed process and Completed file transfer records going forward. It is not retroactively applied
to previous processes and file transfers.
To customize the information that is displayed in
one or both of the views for a process or file transfer, complete the following high-level steps:- Decide which user-defined field that you want to customize.
- Change how this field is displayed in the web console. For example, instead of Tag 1, give it a meaningful label such as "Workflow ID".
- Identify information that you want to display in the Completed file transfers view or the Completed processes view in the web console.
- Map specific data elements from specific events to the specific user-defined field that you configured.
- Customize the Completed file transfers view or the Completed processes view to begin including the field that you configured in the web console.
Data that you tag in this manner can be searched and sorted in the Completed file transfers view or Completed processes view.
