Collecting Sterling B2B Integrator process data

During the life of a business process Sterling B2B Integrator collects process data in an XML document, which can become quite large. Typically, business processes act on the document or payload data, such as a customer's purchase order, and extract information from the document and place it in the process data. Process data can be used for various purposes including determining what the next step of the business process will be.

IBM® Sterling Control Center Monitor can track elements and components within the process data, such as the name of a file being transferred or a purchase order number. When you select a specific business process to monitor on a Sterling B2B Integrator server, you can specify the Process Data XPath to enable IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor to access the information you need in the process data XML document. The extracted process data is part of the other statistical elements collected for each business process step.
