How can I monitor a Sterling Connect:Direct File Agent?

Sterling Connect:Direct File Agent submits traps to IBM® Sterling Control Center Monitor that include the following information that you can use in rule criteria and as variables in email actions:

• File Agent Message ID
• File Agent Trigger File

Specify the File Agent Message ID as the IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor rule criteria key or the email variable for the following reasons:

• If you need to reference the value of c_msgid in an IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor rule.
• If you need to include its value as a variable in an IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor email action.

Specify File Agent Trigger File as the IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor rule criteria key or the email variable for the following reasons:

• If you need to reference the name of the file that triggered a File Agent rule in an IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor rule.
• If you need to include its value as a variable in an IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor email action.
