You can use the Automated Reports facility of IBM® Sterling Control Center
Monitor to report things such as the alerts from a previous day.
The basic steps to setting up an automated report that
lists all the alerts for the previous day are:
- Define an Alerts report and save it.
- Define a report schedule and save it.
- Automate the Alerts report.
Here are the specific steps:
- Click
- Add a report, select System as the Report
Category and Alerts Report as the Report
Type.
- Select the filter criteria as illustrated in the following
table. This criteria narrows the alerts to yesterday's only.
This step is the key step in this process.

- Run the report and save it.
- Define a report schedule by which to run the
report ; for example:
Daily at 6:00 a.m. Specify the schedule name, choose a calendar (for
this example, Daily with a time of 6:00 a.m.), and save the schedule.
- Add a new automated report .

Give the new automated report a name and select the report you defined in step 1 through step
4.

Give the automated report the schedule you defined in step 5.
- Select an email list of recipients to send the mail to.
- Select other parameters, including the report file format,
the file extension, a From address and an email Subject line, and
then save the report. The report is generated daily at the time you
specified and sent to the list of addressees you specified.
