Before configuring IBM® Sterling Control Center
Monitor to forward
events to WebSphere, you must set up IBM MQ Broker or ActiveMQ
to accept MQ messages sent from IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor.
The following steps are the pre-configuration tasks to configuring IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor to WebSphere:
- To set up IBM MQ
Broker to accept MQ messages from IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor, define
the following components and authority:
- Topic where events will be published.
- Queue manager to use.
- Channel to use.
- Appropriate authority to the user ID running IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor to allow IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor to publish
events to the topic.
- To configure ActiveMQ Broker to accept MQ messages from IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor, do the
following:
- Define the topic or queue.
- Obtain the correct user ID and password from the ActiveMQ
Broker. The default is userid=system and password=manager.
- Make sufficient space available to store IBM Sterling Control Center
Monitor events
as they are created.
