Accessing IBM® Sterling Control Center Monitor
You can access Control Center using the Control Center Console (Swing Console).
To access Control Center application on your machine, you must update your hosts file with
exposed IP and hostname of the pod where your application is running. For example, if your service
has exposed IP 172.20.186.249 and pod’s hostname is
cc-app-0.cc-service-pvc.default.svc.cluster.local:
111.22.333.444 cc-app-0.cc-service.default.svc.cluster.local
111.22.333.444 cc-app-1.cc-service.default.svc.cluster.local
If you are scaling your application, add all hostname in your hosts file.
Follow the steps given below to launch the Control Center Console (Swing Console):
- Enter the URL to launch the Swing Console from the launch page in the following
format:
Non-Secure connection
{{IP Address}}:{{port_number of web console}}
The default non-secure web port is 58082.
Secure connection{{IP Address}}:{{port_number of web console}}
The default secure web port is 58083.
- Click the IBM Control Center Console link to use.
- The IBM Control Center components are downloaded to your local computer. When all components are downloaded, a security warning informs you that IBM Control Center is requesting unrestricted access to your computer.
- Click Start to continue to the IBM Control Center console installation. A security warning informs you that Java Webstart is requesting unrestricted access to your computer. This access is necessary to install IBM Control Center.
- Click Install. When the IBM Control Center console installation is complete, create a shortcut to run the console from your desktop.
- Complete one of the following:
- To create a shortcut on your desktop, click Yes.
- To finish the installation without creating a shortcut, click No.
- To defer creation of a shortcut, click Ask Later.
