Upgrading IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor from a previous version
You can upgrade IBM® Sterling Control Center Monitor V6.1 to V6.2 or later.
Important:
- If you have IBM Control Center Monitor v5.2, v5.3, or v5.4, follow these steps to upgrade to v6.2 level
- Upgrade to v5.4.2.2 (latest release).
- Upgrade IBM Control Center Monitor to V6.1 using the instructions found in Upgrading IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor from V6.1 to V6.2 on UNIX.
In v5.4 and earlier, rules, SLCs, actions, servers, and other objects are stored in the XML files on the operating system. In V6.1 and later, these files are migrated to the databases. Tell your database administrator that the database might drastically increase in size, depending on the number of servers, user-written rules, SLCs, actions, and other objects.
- After upgrading to v6.1, you can upgrade to V6.2.
- If you have IBM Control Center Monitor v6.0, follow these steps to upgrade to v6.2 level.
- First upgrade from v6.0 to 6.1 latest maintenance level using the instructions found in the following Upgrading IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor from V6.1 to V6.2 on UNIX.
- After upgrading to V6.1, you can upgrade to V6.2 using the steps found in the next section below.
- If you have IBM Control Center Monitor v6.1, follow these steps to upgrade to v6.2 level.
- If required, follow the directions on migrating Cognos artifacts to a standalone Cognos.
