Stopping the IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor engine

When you are working from a Console or from a command line, you can stop the engine and disconnect all Consoles.

IBM® Sterling Control Center Monitor checks to make sure that you have permission to issue a shutdown request before initiating shutdown. The following procedure gives instructions for stopping the engine and disconnecting Consoles:
  • To stop the engine and disconnect all Consoles from the Console, click IBM Control Center > Stop Sterling Control Center and click OK.
  • To stop only the Console, click IBM Control Center > Exit Console.
  • To stop only the engine on a Microsoft Windows computer, click Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services, then right-click the IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor V6.2 Engine program, and click Stop.
    Attention: You must manually stop Jetty Web process. But before you stop the processes, read Release Notes to understand all ramifications.
  • To stop the engine and disconnect all Consoles from a command line:

    1. Run either installation directory\bin\stopEngine.bat (Microsoft Windows) or installation directory/bin/stopEngine.sh (UNIX).
    2. Supply your IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor user ID and password when prompted.
