Monitoring File Agents

If a monitored Sterling Connect:Direct® server has associated file agents set up to submit processes to it, you can monitor those file agents if the certain conditions have been met.

If a monitored Sterling Connect:Direct server has associated file agents set up to submit processes to it, you can monitor those file agents if the following conditions have been met:

  • The Sterling Connect:Direct server's connections setting does not have “Do not monitor associated File Agents” selected.
  • The Sterling Connect:Direct File Agent system setting for the engine has been configured properly.
  • The Sterling Connect:Direct File Agent has been configured to send traps to IBM® Sterling Control Center Monitor properly.

You can only monitor completed activity, not queued activity.

To monitor completed activity for a file agent associated with a managed Sterling Connect:Direct server:

  1. In the node tree on the IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor main window, right-click the Sterling Connect:Direct File Agent icon.
  2. Select Completed Sterling Connect:Direct File Agent Activity.
