Reporting
There are four main types of IBM® Control Center reports:

- Standard IBM Control
Center reports are
produced from the IBM Control
Center console,
either on demand () or by scheduling them to be run at a certain time and sent to designated recipients
through email ().Tip: You can also run existing reports in the web console. In the IBM Control Center web console, click . Select a report, then click the Run this report icon in the Actions column.
The Audit Log is a standard report of changes that are made to IBM Sterling Connect:Direct® server configuration objects. You can run it as an on-demand report or display it on screen by selecting .
- Database reports use SQL queries to extract data from the IBM Control Center databases and create the reports.
- Log files on standard reports are saved to the Cognos/logs folder. After you use these logs for general debugging and maintenance purposes, you can clear these backups regularly to keep this directory to a reasonable size.
- The SLC Debug Report is useful for troubleshooting an SLC. It includes the following information:
- SLC definition
- Definition of schedules that are referenced by the SLC
- Related SLC events that are produced for the SLC
- Definition of rules that are triggered by the SLC events
- Definition of actions that are taken by triggered rules
- Email system settings for the event processor
Important: When you add an IBM Sterling Connect:Direct node to IBM Control
Center for monitoring, you must run
configuration management on the node before you can run reports on it. To manage a configuration
option, such as, functional authorities, IBM Control
Center polls the node and puts the
information in the database. After the database is populated with the information, you can run
reports on the node.
