There are several approaches to creating a knowledge base
structure.

To create a knowledge base structure, use
any of the following approaches:
- Use the Build Knowledge Base Structure feature
(). For example, you can automatically
build a multilingual knowledge base structure (see Multilingual knowledge bases).
- Create a knowledge base structure without a pre-existing
content set. If the project does not have a knowledge base, starting
the Knowledge Base Editor opens an empty knowledge base with the default
project knowledge base name. See Creating a knowledge base without a pre-existing content set.
- View a knowledge base that was created by using Classification Workbench. By default, if a project
already has a knowledge base, starting the Knowledge Base Editor automatically
opens the associated knowledge base. See Viewing a knowledge base in Classification Workbench.
- Create a knowledge base by importing a knowledge
base structure. See Importing knowledge bases.
Restriction: Only one knowledge base can be opened
at a time. The Knowledge Base Editor cannot be opened while the Create,
Analyze and Learn wizard is active.
