IBM® Content
Classification provides
automatic classification services for content in IBM Content
Manager repositories. IBM Content
Classification analyzes items in a repository
and can automatically set attribute values or item types.
Setting up IBM Content Manager classification
Before you can use the Classification Center to classify content
in IBM Content
Manager repositories,
you must configure connectivity between the Classification Center and IBM Content
Manager, enable item types for
classification, create a knowledge base and decision plan and ensure
that they are started, identify the content to be classified, and
specify classification options.
Extracting content from IBM Content Manager
One way to gather input for a knowledge base or decision
plan is by using the Content Extractor to
extract content from an IBM Content
Manager repository.
You can then import the extracted data and use it as sample content
for training a knowledge base or building and analyzing a decision
plan.
Creating a knowledge base based on IBM Content Manager content
You create a knowledge base by using Classification Workbench to analyze a collection of
sample documents from your IBM Content
Manager repository
and gather statistics. Training a knowledge base with
sample data enables IBM Content
Classification to
classify similar content.
