Filter string properties and use thumbnails and social features in Simple Search

For Users
You can filter search results on a repository by any string property. You can now use Thumbnails, Comments, Likes, Downloads, and Tags in Simple Search.
For Administrators
You can configure the display of Thumbnails, Comments, Likes, Downloads, and Tags in the Simple Search results. Users can filter search results on a repository by any string property that you do not hide when you select the filters in the Searchable Properties section, which is accessed from the repository configuration Search tab.

Highlight Simple Search keywords in the IBM Daeja® ViewONE Virtual viewer for PDF files

For Users
For PDF files that can be searched with the Daeja Virtual viewer, the search keyword is highlighted in the Daeja Virtual viewer. For more information, see Simple Search.

Bookmark enhancements for IBM Content Navigator

For Users
You now have a Link to properties option, in View Link, to bookmark links to properties. Also, the feature pane is displayed when you access the bookmarked link, if the administrator enabled the Navigate to the feature list for the links option.
For Administrators
When you enable the desktop option, Navigate to the feature list for the links, the feature pane is displayed when the bookmarked link is accessed.

A Cancel Checkout option for IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office documents

For Users
A Cancel Checkout option is added to the dialog that is displayed in IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office when you close a document and it is still checked out.
For Administrators
Enable the Cancel Checkout option for IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office documents through the Prompt users to check in documents when they close Office applications desktop option.

For IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office, add documents by using entry templates to folders that have no entry template associations

For Users
You can add documents by using an entry template to folders that have no associated entry templates. This feature is enabled by your administrator through two custom settings.
For Administrators
Allow users to view and use all entry templates for folders that have no entry-template associations. Enable by
  • Adding these custom settings as true.
    • nmoShowAllEntryTemplates
    • nmoEntryTemplateAlwaysAddToSelectedFolder
  • Selecting the desktop office option Show only the Add With Template action.

Users and groups search options

For Users
In IBM Content Navigator, you can now search users and groups with the options Contains, Ends with, and Equals.

Set up External Data Service dependencies to require search criteria

For Users
You can set up External Data Service (EDS) to make search criteria be required when the value of a property, that the search criteria depend on, changes.

The installer provides a link to the Software License Agreement information

For Users
In the Software License Agreement phase of the IBM Content Navigator 3.0.13 installation, you are provided a link to the software license agreement information. You can also copy the URL that is provided on the installer page and paste it in a browser to view the software license agreement.
