Cannot create a configuration profile

You cannot create a configuration profile by using the graphical user interface version of the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool.

Symptoms

You cannot create a configuration profile the Configuration and Deployment Tool.

Causes

You must be able to connect to your web application server if you want to create a configuration profile by using the graphical user interface version of the Configuration and Deployment Tool.

Resolving the problem

If you to create a profile offline in one environment and you plan to deploy the profile in a different environment later or if your application server is not otherwise available, you must manually create a configuration profile. Use the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool command-line interface to create the profile.

After you create the profile in the command-line interface, you can open the profile in the graphical user interface.
