Entry template migration

If you have entry templates that were created in IBM FileNet® Workplace XT, you can migrate the entry templates into IBM Content Navigator so that you can manage them from IBM Content Navigator.

You must have the appropriate privileges to create entry templates to migrate entry templates from Workplace XT to IBM Content Navigator.

There are two ways that you can migrate entry templates from Workplace XT:
  • You can use the Copy action to create a new instance of the entry template that can be managed in IBM Content Navigator. When you select this option, the original entry template remains on the repository.
  • You can use the Convert action to replace the existing entry template with a new version of the entry template that can be managed in IBM Content Navigator.
    Restriction: This option is available only if you have the appropriate permissions to modify the existing entry template.
