You can upgrade IBM® Content Navigator on
the server by running the installation program.
About this task
If you installed your web application server
as a user other than the root user, you must use the same user account
when you upgrade IBM Content Navigator on AIX®, Linux®,
or Linux for System z®. If you do not, the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment
Tool does not work properly.
Procedure
To upgrade IBM Content Navigator:

Log on to the IBM Content Navigator server with the IBM Content Navigator installer account.

Start the installation program:

At a command prompt, change to the directory where you downloaded the product and enter:
./IBM_CONTENT_NAVIGATOR-x.x.x-AIX.bin, where
x.x.x is the product version, such as 26.0.0. |
| Linux |
At a command prompt, change to the directory where you downloaded the product and enter:
./IBM_CONTENT_NAVIGATOR-x.x.x-LINUX.bin, where
x.x.x is the product version, such as 26.0.0. |
| Linux for System z |
At a command prompt, change to the directory where you downloaded the product and enter:
./IBM_CONTENT_NAVIGATOR-x.x.x-ZLINUX.bin, where
x.x.x is the product version, such as 26.0.0. |

Complete one of the following actions:
- At a command prompt, change to the directory where you downloaded the product: and enter:
IBM_CONTENT_NAVIGATOR-x.x.x-WIN.exe, where
x.x.x is the product version, such as 26.0.0.
- Go to the directory where you downloaded the product and double-click
IBM_CONTENT_NAVIGATOR-x.x.x-WIN.exe, where
x.x.x is the product version, such as 26.0.0.
