Upgrading Box Share
If you want to share documents that were shared before IBM® Content Navigator Version 3.0, you must upgrade Box Share.
Before you begin
Complete the following tasks in the Box application for sharing documents:
- Specify that the Box server token user is a collaborator on the IBM Content Navigator Shares folder.
- Assign co-owner access to the collaborator. The collaborator then has access to the top-level folder used for sharing in prior releases.
Important: You cannot convert an existing Box
application that was used for sharing before IBM Content Navigator Version
3.0.0. You need to create a new Box application and repository
that is enabled for server tokens. If you convert an existing application to server tokens, you
can't log in as the original share administrator. You also can't make the server token user a
collaborator on the IBM Content Navigator Shares folder.
Procedure
To upgrade Box Share:
- Open the administration tool in the web client.
- Click Repositories and open the Box repository that is configured with server token authentication that will be used for sharing.
- Click Connect and locate and copy the server token user email address.
- Log in to Box as the administrative user that was used for sharing in prior releases.
- Select the IBM Content Navigator Shares folder.
- Enter the server token email address that you copied and add that user as a co-owner collaborator on the IBM Content Navigator Shares folder.
