Creating a configuration profile (generateConfig)

The generateConfig command generates the configuration XML files that are required to configure and deploy an instance of a web application.

Run the command to complete the following tasks:
  • Create a configuration profile to deploy an instance of a web application.
  • Update an existing profile. For example, you might need to remove a repository task or generate a second LDAP configuration task if you need to configure a connection to multiple LDAP servers.
The syntax of the generateConfig command depends on the following conditions:
  • The type of web application server. The supported web application servers are WebSphere® Application Server and Oracle WebLogic Server.
  • The type of web application. The supported web applications are IBM® Content Navigator, IBM ECM CMIS, or IBM FileNet® Collaboration Services.

Modify the generateConfig command for your environment based on the web application server on which you are deploying the web application.
