Capturing debug logs for the IBM Content Navigator installer

When instructed by IBM Software Support, you can capture debug-level logs for the IBM Content Navigator installer to help diagnose installation issues.

About this task

Do not enable debug-level logging for the IBM Content Navigator installer unless instructed to do so by IBM Software Support. The debug logs provide detailed information about the installation process that can help diagnose complex installation problems.

Procedure

To capture debug logs for the installer, follow the instructions provided by Revenera for your operating system:

  1. For Windows installations:

Results

The debug logs are generated in the installer log directory and provide detailed trace information about the installation process. Provide these logs to IBM Software Support when requested.
