Upgrading an IBM Content Navigator deployment interactively

After you upgrade the IBM® Content Navigator software, you must rebuild and redeploy your IBM Content Navigator web application.

Before you begin

Before you rebuild and redeploy the web application:
At a high level, you must complete the following steps. For details on the steps, see the table.
  1. Start the Configuration tool and select Open Profile.
    Tip: You can select Upgrade Profile, select the profile, and update the properties that are to be modified. Click Finish. In this upgrade, obsolete tasks are removed from the profile.
  2. Run the Configure Datasource task with the Run the script on your database option unchecked.
  3. Configure the task manager application, if you selected Task Manager, and then configure and run the web application task.
  4. Run the Rebuild EAR task, and the Deploy Application task.
  5. Restart the application server.

About this task

If you have more than one IBM Content Navigator deployment in your environment, you must rebuild and redeploy each deployed instance of IBM Content Navigator.
