To provide IBM® Collaboration Services to your users, you must install the prerequisite software and install, configure, and deploy the client. There are also optional post installation tasks recommended.
Follow these general steps to install and configure IBM Collaboration Services.
IBM Collaboration Services is a component of and is installed as a part of IBM Content Navigator. To configure and deploy IBM Collaboration Services on a supported web application server, use the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool.
Before you configure and deploy IBM Collaboration Services, install the prerequisite software on the server where you plan to install the IBM Content Navigator software.
You must have a supported web application server on the IBM Content Navigator server.
Install the IBM Content Navigator software. You can install the IBM Content Navigator software by running the installation program or by running a silent installation. The installation program adds the files on the IBM Content Navigator server.
You do not need to install multiple instances of the IBM Content Navigator software to deploy different types of web applications.
Before you can use the IBM FileNet Collaboration Services services to connect to IBM Connections, configure and deploy IBM FileNet Collaboration Services on your web application server.
