Running Process Designer

Use Process Designer to create, start, and process workflow definitions.

Before you begin

You can install Content Platform Engine tools such as Process Designer by using the Content Platform Engine Tools package. For more information, see topic Installing Process Designer.

Note:

You can access the Process Administrator and Process Configuration console directly in the Administration Console for Content Engine (ACCE):

  • To open the Process Administrator, go to object store > Search, and then click New Workflow Search.
  • To access the Process Configuration console for the workflow system, go to object store > Administrative > Workflow Systems where you can find tabs for configuration items such as Runtime Options, Web Applications, and DdExecute connections.
  • To access the Process Configuration console for the elements of an isolated region, go to object store > Administrative > Workflow Systems > Isolated Regions > (your isolated region), and then expand to see configuration items such as Queues, Roster, Event Log.

About this task

Restriction: Your license agreement determines which Process Designer features you are entitled to use.

Procedure

To run Process Designer:

  1. Set the resolution of your display to 1280 x 960.
    The default size of the Process Designer window is 1024 X 768.
  2. Follow the instructions in the IBM FileNet Process Engine Client Tools Getting Started guide extracted from the CPE Tools package to configure and launch the Process Designer.
