Setting resource statuses

Set the resource status for a full-text index to control the types of changes that can be made to index information.

To change the status of a full-text index:

1. Access the properties of the full-text index in the administration console:
   1. Managing index areas and full-text indexes.
   2. In the details pane, click the name of the index area for the full-text index.
   3. Click the Index tab.
2. In the Index selection field, select the full-text index.
3. In the Resource status field, select a status.
4. Save your changes.

To change the status of an index area:

1. Access the properties of the index area in the administration console:
   1. Managing index areas and full-text indexes.
   2. In the details pane, click the name of the index area.
   3. Click the General tab.
2. In the Resource status field, enter a status.
3. Save your changes.
