Upgrading the operator version and your components

You must upgrade the operator to the new version before you apply your custom resource upgrades.

Upgrading the operator using the OpenShift console
You can upgrade your existing IBM Content Cortex deployment using a new or upgraded version of the operator.
Upgrading the operator by running a script
To upgrade the operator, a cluster administrator user can run a script to set up the cluster. The administrator needs permission to apply or created custom resource definitions (CRD's) and create namespaces. The deployment script will detect the existing installation version and method and provide a fresh install path for missing operators or upgrade existing.
Upgrading the operator manually
To upgrade the operator, you can edit and apply all the YAML files manually.
