Optional: Enabling IBM Spectrum Protect

To configure IBM Spectrum® Protect for your container deployment of Content Platform Engine, you specify the folders that you created in the Cloud Pak environment.

About this task

Use these steps if you are using IBM Spectrum Protect as storage for your Content Platform Engine deployment. This task uses the Administration Console for Content Platform Engine. Make sure your environment is initialized by the operator or manually initialized by you before you set up this storage configuration.

Procedure

  1. Review the topic Overview for creating a fixed storage area in the Content Cortex documentation.
  2. When you use the wizard to create the fixed content device for IBM Spectrum Protect, provide the folder that you created as the value for the Configuration files share parameter.
    This folder is the one that you created in Preparing to use IBM Spectrum Protect. For DSMI directory property value, you always need to set it as /opt/tivoli/tsm/client/api/bin64.
  3. When you use the wizard to create a new storage area, specify the staging area folder that you created in Preparing to use IBM Spectrum Protect for the root directory.
