Installing Process Designer

You use Process Designer to deploy test systems into full production. You can install Process Designer interactively or silently.

About this task

You install Content Platform Engine tools such as Process Designer using the Content Platform Engine Tools package. Process Designer is in peclient.zip, which is part of the package. The Tools package is available for download from Passport Advantage®, and includes instructions for installing and launching Process Designer.

You can also use the Content Platform Engine Tools to install Process Designer in container installations.

Procedure

To install Process Designer:

  1. Download the Content Platform Engine Tools package from Passport Advantage.
  2. Extract the contents of the package and follow the instructions in the FileNet® Content Platform Engine Tools Getting Started guide to install the Process Engine tools.
  3. Install the latest software updates for the Content Platform Engine tools software to ensure optimal operation.
    The updates are available on the IBM® Support website. The readme files for the updates contain installation procedures.
