Launch step - assignments

About this task

You can specify values that workflow system assigns to any data field, attachment, or workflow group after the processing of the launch step completes. These assignments occur outside the processing of the next step.

To assign values to fields at the launch step:

Procedure

  1. If necessary, select the Launch step on the main workflow map, then select the Assignments tab in the Properties pane.
  2. Select a field.
  3. Enter an expression to assign. The expression must evaluate to the data type of the field you selected in step 2.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each value you want to assign.

Results

You can also assign a milestone.
