System architecture considerations
Take into account the system architecture considerations when you plan your Content Federation Services for Image Services system.
If the IBM® Content Cortex domain relational database is Microsoft® SQL Server, the database server must be in the same Windows domain.
When a satellite Content Platform Engine system links to a main content federation system over a wide area network (WAN), and is also configured with a FileNet® Image Services application server with cache services that are linked to the root server of the main FileNet Image Services system, the Content Platform Engine system must be in the same FileNet Image Services domain as the FileNet Image Services system.
If your system includes Application Engine, the Content Platform Engine host and the Application Engine host must be in the same domain.
Remote Admin Console
The Remote Admin Console is a Windows application for administering certain functions of FileNet Image Services.
- The Remote Admin Console requires FileNet Image Services Toolkit.
- The Remote Admin Console workstation must be in a place that is easily accessible by the cotent federation administrator.
- The Remote Admin Console can be configured on the same Windows server as Content Platform Engine.
