Deploying Content Cortex AI Services

Deploy Content Cortex AI Services in your environment by choosing the deployment method that matches your setup.

About this task

Use this topic to deploy Content Cortex AI Services in your environment.

For information about deployment options and to decide which scenario fits your environment, see Content Cortex AI Services.

Procedure

  1. Identify the deployment scenario that matches your environment.

Choose whether you are deploying Content Cortex AI Services for an existing containerized deployment or a new deployment.

Determine whether you deploy only the AI Services components or deploy them together with the Content operator and related components.

  2. For the environment where you plan to deploy AI Services, prepare your cluster.

For information about preparing your cluster, see Preparing your cluster.

  3. Prepare a client to connect to the cluster.
  4. Download the required container repository.
  5. Prepare the namespace for AI Services.

If your deployment includes both the Content operator and the Content Cortex AI Services operator, install them in the same namespace.

For more information, see Preparing a namespace for the operator.

  6. Get access to the AI Services images.
  7. Install the AI Services Operator.

Using the supplied helm chart, deploy the operator on your OpenShift or Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) Kubernetes cluster, see Installing Helm charts.

  8. Run the prerequisites script to generate and configure the deployment artifacts and custom resource for AI Services.

After you install the Content Cortex AI Services operator, use the prerequisites script to generate the deployment artifacts and the custom resource that you need for deployment. Using gather mode, you have the option to migrate your content deployment settings, if you have an existing container based content deployment in your namespace. For more information, see Generating simple custom resource and deployment files.

  9. Validate and apply the custom resource for AI Services.
    1. Validate the YAML in your custom resource file.
    2. Apply the custom resource to deploy AI Services.

For more information, see Applying the custom resource.

  10. Verify the AI Services deployment.

After applying the custom resource, verify that all AI Services components are running successfully. For more information about accessing and validating your deployment, see Accessing your deployment.

Results

Content Cortex AI Services is now deployed in your environment. You can now continue with the setup and configuration tasks for the AI Agent plug-in, MCP Server, and related integrations.
