Installing IBM Cognos Business Intelligence

You can integrate Cognos Business Intelligence 10.2.1 or later with the background search mechanism.

To install Cognos Business Intelligence:

1. Install and configure Cognos Business Intelligence. For more information, see Cognos Business Intelligence . In the table of contents, click the link for the appropriate version and expand the "Install" section. Follow the Cognos documentation for complete server configuration.
   Here are some items to configure:

   • Web server gateway
   • Application tier components
   • IBM® Content Manager
2. Install IBM Cognos Framework Manager.
3. If you plan to create reports by using a cube, install IBM Cognos Cube Designer.
4. Optional: Install other products for Cognos Business Intelligence.
   Here are some products that you might install:

   • Cognos Business Intelligence Quick Start Guide
   • Cognos Business Intelligence Server
   • Cognos Dynamic Query Analyzer
